MP159 is a Nickel Cobalt based alloy with the same characteristics as MP35N. This combination of properties enables ultra high strength, toughness, good ductility and excellent corrosion resistance. Through work strengthening and aging MP159 alloy exhibits ultimate tensile strength levels in excess of 1830 MPa. Excellent strength and ductility are also evident at elevated temperatures up to 1100 – 1200 °F. MP159 alloy is produced by vacuum induction melting followed by VAC-ARC remelting to provide optimum control of chemistry and preferred ingot solidification.

MP159 is used in many different industries from use in prosthetic devices, fasteners, jet engine components, marine applications to petroleum industry applications.
